Pre-matric Scholarship to Minority Students

Under the scheme the Minority students of classes of VI to VIII are getting scholarship @ Rs. 40/- per month per student and of classes IX & X @ Rs. 50/- per month per student. The students whose parents’/guardians’ annual income does not exceed Rs. 44,500/- are eligible to get the scholarship. The students are getting scholarship from their concerned school authorities with which necessary fund is placed by Minorities Welfare Department.

Post-matric Scholarship to Minority Students

Under the scheme the Minority students of classes of XI & XII are getting scholarship @Rs.65/- per month per student. The students whose parents/guardians annual income does not exceed Rs. 44,500/- are eligible to get the scholarship. The students are getting scholarship from their concerned school authorities with which necessary fund is placed by Minorities Welfare Department.

Pre-examination Coaching & Allied Scheme

Under the scheme the Minority students are being given coaching for IAS/TCS/IPC/TPS etc. examination.

Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Memorial Award

The Minority students who secure 60% marks in the HS/Madhyamik examination are eligible to get Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Memorial Award @ Rs. 1,500/- each. The amount are being distributed in a function at Agartala every year.

D-Pharma Course

The minority students are being trained in D-Pharma course outside the providing employment opportunities.

Nursing Training for Minority Students

The minority girl’s students are being trained in nursing course outside the State for employment.

Special Coaching in Core Subject

The Minority students are given special coaching in core subject who are residing in the hostel. 50 girls student of the Fulbari hostel attached to Fulbari H.S. School under Dharmanagar Sub-Division are geting benefit of the scheme.

Outfit Allowance to Minority Students

The Minority students who are peosecuting higher studies out side the are getting lump sum amount for Rs. 5,000/- per students. This is one time benefit. The parents/ guardians monthly income thus not exceed Rs. 5,000/- are eligible get the benefit of the scheme.

Boarding House Stipend to Minority Students

The Minority students are getting boarding house stipend @ Rs. 30/- per day per student. Besides the hostlers are getting cleaning & sweeping charge @ Rs. 1/- per day per student. The 50 girls student of Fulbari girls hostel attached to Fulbari H.S.School, Dharmanagar are getting the benefit of the scheme.

Supply of Furniture / Utensils to Minorities Hostels

The furniture / utensils are being supplied to the Minority girls hostel as and when required.

Training Course for Minority Students

The Minority students are being trained in Genearl Nursing Course and D-Pharma Course outside the State for their employment. The advertisement is done by the Minority Welfare Department in the local dailies in due course for the purpose.

Special Incentive for Minority Girls

The object of the scheme is to encourage minority girls. Those who pass class VI to VIII and score 60% marks in the annual examination are given cash award @ Rs. 400/- and those who score 50% to 59% marks in the annual examination are given cash award of Rs. 200/- each. Similarly Rs. 700/- is paid to the girls who pass class IX and score 60% marks and Rs. 300/- to the girls who score 50% to 59% marks to the annual examination. Rs. 1,000/- is paid to the girls who score 50% to 59% marks in the Madhyamik examination.The amount arte being distributed by the concerned SDM / BDO.S to the Minority girls.

Construction of Minority Girls Hostels

The Department has taken up construction of hostels for girls for giving better educational facility to the Minority girls. One girls hostel at Fulbari in North Tripura and another one at Krishnanagar, Agartala has already started functioning.Two more girls hostel have been taken up for construction one 100 seated Minority girls hostel attached to R. K. Mahavidyalaya, Kailashahar, North Tripura & another 50 seated Minority girls hostel attached to Kabi Nazrul Mahavidyalaya, Sonamura, West Tripura.
