Aims & Objectives of the State Haj Committee

The State Haj Committee, Tripura was constituted in the year 1985 under the parliament Act,2002(Act – 1959) with 16(sixteen members). As per the Muslim population (census 2001), the Central Government has fixed quota of 219 pilgrims of Haj for the state. The Haj committee is looking after the arrangement like, Vaccination, training, passport visas, accommodation, foreign exchange and transit of Haj pilgrims.
